Late Cancellation/No Show Policy

At Burke Family Practice, we strive to provide the best possible care for our patients while maintaining an efficient appointment schedule. To achieve this, we want to inform you about our updated policy regarding no-shows and late cancellations. Effective immediately, all patients will be responsible for a $50 fee for any missed appointments or cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time. Please note, a $75 fee will apply for missed Annual Wellness Visits.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, so we offer several convenient ways to cancel or reschedule your appointment in advance to avoid these fees:

  1. *Respond to Appointment Reminders:* When you receive reminders via call, text or online, simply click the cancel option or follow the provided instructions to notify us of your cancellation
  2. *Cancel Through Your Patient Portal:* Log in to your Privia patient portal to securely send us a cancellation message. This is a quick and reliable method to ensure we receive your request promptly.
  3. *Call Our Office:* Contact our scheduling team directly at 703-978-4200. If your call goes to voicemail, please leave a message with your name, date of birth, and request to cancel your appointment.

By using these options, you help us keep our schedule running smoothly and allow other patients the opportunity to access care.
