Biography

Janeal Kitchens is a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. She earned her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University, graduating in 2021. Her journey in healthcare began as a Patient Care Technician at the Medical Center of Plano while pursuing her nursing degree, laying a strong foundation for her career.

In 2001, Janeal joined Children’s Health Medical Center of Dallas, where she worked for 10 years on the inpatient/surgical floor, gaining extensive experience in patient care and leadership, including two years as a charge nurse. She then transitioned to the Pre-Op/Recovery Room, where she has worked for over a decade, continuing in a leadership role as a charge nurse for the past two years.

Throughout her career, Janeal has actively contributed to workplace development through her participation in various councils, including the unit-based council and a hospital-wide unit council. Her commitment to excellent patient care and team collaboration has been a hallmark of her career.

Outside of work, Janeal is happily married and a proud mother to her daughter. Her hobbies and interests include traveling, board gaming, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family. Her balanced and compassionate approach to both her professional and personal life exemplifies her dedication to the well-being of others.
