Biography

Mrs. Karen Johnson is a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in primary care. She works in a physician owned internal medicine practice in Aberdeen, MD. She is experienced in caring for males and females ranging in age from adolescence to geriatrics. She has performed physicals, wellness checks, management of chronic conditions as well as management of multiple medications.

Mrs. Johnson received an Associate’s degree in nursing from Cecil College in 1995 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, MD. She earned her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2009 from Wilmington University in Wilmington, DE. Mrs. Johnson started her nursing career at Calvert Manor Nursing Home and worked at several area hospitals as a floor nurse including Harford Memorial Hospital, Jennersville Hospital and Christiana Care. She is a past adjunct clinical professor for Cecil College School of Nursing.

Mrs. Johnson has been married for 25 years to her husband, Charlie. She is the mother of three boys aged 16 to 24. She is a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America and is a third degree black belt.
