Biography

Dr. Kandl graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wofford College in 2009. While attending Wofford, she was a member of their Division I Women’s Soccer Team. She then received her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2015. During medical school, she received multiple awards for academic and clinical excellence. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Dr. Kandl completed a Surgical Internship at Vanderbilt University in 2016. She then completed her residency in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth university in 2021. Her practice involves all aspects of adult and pediatric Otolaryngology with special interest in thyroid and parathyroid disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, tumors of the head and neck, voice disorders, and nasal and sinus disorders.

In her free time, Dr. Kandl enjoys running and hiking as well as baking for friends and family.
