Biography

Dr. Henderson has been practicing medicine since 1998 and has been a physician in central Virginia since 2004. Originally from Oregon, she received her undergraduate degree from Southern Oregon University and attended medical school at the University of Rochester. After completing residency at Temple University, she practiced internal medicine in the Boston area until relocating to Charlottesville in 2004.

Before joining Fox and Brantley Internal Medicine, she was a member of the University of Virginia faculty, practicing primary care medicine and teaching medical students and residents at University Physicians of Orange, where she also served as the medical director. In 2010 she received the Dean’s Clinical Excellence Award from the UVA School of Medicine. She continues to enjoy teaching primary care medicine to medical students and, in addition to internal medicine, has a special interest in women’s health.
