About Us
Albany Vascular serves patients with all types of vascular conditions. Our highly trained and qualified staff is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of peripheral vascular disease (PVD) and peripheral arterial disease (PAD). We consider all options for the most up-to-date treatment types available, including medical management, non-surgical, surgical or minimally invasive endovascular options.
Vascular disease includes peripheral artery disease, coronary heart disease (heart attacks and angina), stroke, diabetes, and kidney disease. While they all affect the body in different ways, they are all linked by a common set of risk factors, including high cholesterol, obesity, physical inactivity, smoking, and high blood pressure.
Unfortunately, Southwest Georgia has an extremely high rate of these risk factors among the population. Our staff strives to not only treat patients with existing conditions, but to also educate them on preventive tactics with an overall goal of helping reduce the high mortality rates from vascular disease in our region.
Albany Vascular is led by Dr. Joe Harris "Tripp" Morgan III, a native of Camilla, Georgia. While working as a pharmacist serving his community, he grew a keen interest in exploring a proactive approach to medicine that would benefit patients and better serve the healthcare system.
Once he completed his schooling, residency and fellowship, Dr. Morgan came home and currently serves the southwest Georgia region as one of the best in vascular medicine.
Dr. Morgan has privileges and performs operations and procedures at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, GA. He also has the ability to perform minor procedures in office as well as outpatient surgical procedures within the same location at Vascular Health and Wellness.
Dr. Morgan participates in the Vascular Quality Initiative. The Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) is a collaborative of regional quality groups collecting and analyzing vascular surgery data in an effort to improve patient outcomes.
