Biography

Beth Lafont, M.D., who joined ACOOG in 2010, holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Mount Holyoke College and a Master's in Physics from the University of Michigan. She received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, and her training in Ob/Gyn was completed at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Since 2019, Dr. Lafont has served as a physician volunteer for the Physicians Free Clinic, and she received the Outstanding Volunteer Physician award in 2023. She is a teaching attending for the residency program in Ob/Gyn at Riverside Methodist Hospital as well as the Ohio State University program through her work at St. Anns hospital. She also volunteers to teach the Ohio Health Family Practice residents. Dr. Lafont, a native of central Maryland, now resides in Clintonville with her husband, Professor Jean-François Lafont and her 2 daughters. In her free time she enjoys cooking, playing games, travelling and spending time with her family.
