Biography

Dr. Atilio Abreu Serrano received his Medical degree from the University of Zulia in his hometown Venezuela, where he worked for one year and then decided to pursue a training in Family Medicine. He attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford Family Medicine Residency Program where he graduated in 2012. In 2016 he moved to Houston where he has practiced since then.

He enjoys treating the entire family as well as complex and chronic diseases. He is board certified in Family Medicine and member of the American Academy of Family Physicians among other medical associations.

Additionally, he performs small office procedures including incision and drainage of abscesses and joint injections. He also has extensive practice in managing acute illnesses and urgent care conditions.

Dr. Abreu is married and has two daughters. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys traveling with his family.
